Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

RepGuard is a software platform that helps local trade businesses (such as plumbers) automatically respond to missed phone calls via SMS text message. When a customer calls a business that uses RepGuard and their call goes unanswered, RepGuard sends an automated text message to that caller on behalf of the business.

This policy applies to two groups: Clients (business owners who subscribe to RepGuard) and End Users (customers who receive automated SMS messages through RepGuard on behalf of a Client).

2. Information We Collect

From Clients:

  • Name and email address (used for account login)
  • Business name, industry, and owner phone number
  • Google OAuth access and refresh tokens (for Google Business Profile integration)

From End Users:

  • Phone number (received via Twilio when an End User calls a Client's RepGuard-powered number)
  • Content of SMS replies sent during the automated conversation
  • Information voluntarily provided (problem description, service address, callback time preference)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information solely to operate the RepGuard service:

  • To send automated SMS responses to End Users on behalf of Clients
  • To conduct an AI-assisted text conversation that qualifies the caller's need
  • To notify the Client business owner with a lead summary
  • To maintain and improve the RepGuard platform

We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to delivering the service described above.

4. SMS Messaging Disclosures

End Users receive SMS messages from RepGuard because they placed an inbound phone call to a business number operated by one of our Clients. By calling that number and not reaching anyone, the caller provides implied consent to receive an automated text follow-up from that business.

๐Ÿ“ต Mobile phone numbers are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for any purpose.

๐Ÿ“จ Message frequency varies. Typically 1โ€“5 messages are sent per missed call, depending on the length of the automated qualification conversation.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan.

To opt out: Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts will be sent.

5. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database provided by Supabase, hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. Google OAuth tokens are stored server-side and never exposed to browsers. We do not store credit card or payment information.

We implement reasonable technical safeguards to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; if you have concerns, contact us immediately at support@repguard.app.

6. Data Retention

Lead and conversation data is retained for 12 months from the date of collection. Client account data is retained for the duration of the subscription plus 90 days after cancellation. Clients and End Users may request deletion of their data at any time by contacting us.

7. Third-Party Services

RepGuard relies on the following third-party services to operate:

  • Twilio โ€” SMS delivery and phone number management (twilio.com/legal/privacy)
  • OpenAI โ€” AI text generation for automated conversations (openai.com/privacy)
  • Supabase โ€” Database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
  • Google โ€” OAuth login and Business Profile integration (policies.google.com/privacy)
  • Vercel โ€” Application hosting (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)

Each service is governed by its own privacy policy. We select providers with strong privacy and security standards.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@repguard.app. We will respond within 30 days.

End Users who received an SMS may also opt out immediately by replying STOP to any message โ€” no email required.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
